It reminds me of a Family Guy episode and Stewie is talking about Jim Henson’s death and Stewie says “And now we have wrong sounding muppets.”
That was a VERY funny line
I personally think it’s disrespectful to replace a character’s actor, to the point that I’d rather a spinoff that doesn’t include the original cast to replaced voice actors. Call me odd in that regard.
I’ve never noticed the Jim Henson characters sounding any different, but I guess I was never hugely into the old school muppets. I’d probably notice a new Bender or Fry since I’ve watched for so long.
