What’s not to love? Alec Guinness, Burl Ives, Maureen O’Hara and Ernie Kovacs. Great flick.
It’s never on cable. It can’t be found on DVD or even VHS.
Who do I have to kill to get a copy?

Couldn’t hurt to vote for it here at Amazon.com

I’ve never seen it, but I love the book and I love that period of Alec Guinness’ career, Graham Greene did the screenplay, and, if any further incentive were needed, Carol Reed directed- so I’ve been wanting to see it for a long time.
I first found out about it about ten years ago and it’s been on my “Impossible Must See” list ever since.
No doubt, once I get to see it- after a decade and counting of anticipation- I’ll only be very disappointed.
According their web site, it will be on TCM on September 30 at 9:00pm.
…or you could come over to my place, renounce all your political, religious, and societal beliefs, and we can watch the copy I taped off PBS back in the '80s.
Me and my commie lesbian vegetarian Birkenstock-wearing pals will provide the popcorn and beer.
Ernie Kovacs is just a scream in it.
