Our own Scylla is now internet famous, 11 years later.

Wasn’t there one with a goat?

Heh–a friend of mine on Facebook recently told his own stroy of a wayward remote-controlled blimp, and I linked to Scylla’s old thread. It’s the gift that keeps on giving.

Scylla’s tales are the reason I came to the Dope initially. I stay for the ice cream now. And the fact I still don’t know where the door is.

That’s the thread that brought me to the Dope. It was linked to in a games forum I used to read.

You and Joe Walsh, man.

The link has “pp=1” in it. Makes one post per page.

Here is a normal link:

Oops! Reported.

You’re welcome. You oughta compile your better posts here and then write some more stories down; post the link to your book on amazon here when you do.

I would recognize that story too. One of the laughed til I cried stories here. Wow. And you all most know better people than I b/c nothing I see is this interesting on ‘socialmedahemfbook’

That story is not nearly as funny as some of you guys would like to believe. Just let it go already.

Scylla was internet famous just a few days after he originally posted the Blimp story.
I remember I used to belong to a “Joke of the day” email list. They emailed me that Blimp story no less than a week after Scylla posted it.

Just because you didn’t find it funny doesn’t mean that they didn’t find it funny either.

I was looking for quotes like these! There was a Really bad CBS TV show on last night that Totally stole its plot from the end of “Prisoners”(2013).

Your quotes are much nicer than calling the lazy hack-writers thieves.

Error in how the link was formatted – I fixed.

Joe Walsh is here, too? Sweet! Maybe I can get a ride in that Maserati he’s always going on about…

Scylla, I second the notion of a book; if you write it, I would buy it!

Sorry - neither of you can find your way out, so no Maserati rides.

Update: “Item removed on request.”

I’ve tried multiple times to understand what it is that people find so extraordinary, but I remain defeated. (I suspect it may have to do with each individual’s power of visualization, but I doubt I shall ever be able to say for certain.)

This one always makes me cry. It’s a touching tribute to his Irish Wolfhound, Corwin.
