Sounds fun. 2 weeks ago we drove most of the length of the Erie Canal [the NYS throughway follows it most of the way between Albany and Rochester if you know where to look =)] and it was fairly full, not sure if it is so high now though. Have a blast, and try to get a day trip to Letchworth if you can. Makes me wish I was there to do the chauffered tour of the park for you guys =)

Self-drive, no-crew canal boats on the Erie Canal. Sunburn backs, cicadas in the background, cooking on the gas barbecue, early mornings and late nights. Best honeymoon ever, just like summer camp for adults.
