Outlook and attachments

My hotmail account has become Outlook, because, well, Bill Gates wanted it to. Now, when I go to look at attachments I had previously had no problem viewing I cannot even find them. Is there a was to negate this “improvement?”

Yes. Get a gmail account.

If the “improvement” you want to negate is the switch to Outlook.com from Hotmail, I don’t think you can negate it. I believe that Microsoft is moving Hotmail accounts to Outlook.com with the goal of eliminating Hotmail.

And I just sent a couple of test messages from Gmail to my Outlook.com email address. Both had attachments and I had no problem seeing the attachments in the messages.

Before the switchover, these attachments were all ones I had looked at before. They have suddenly become locked, or disappeared, or something. I would prefer not to switch, simply because of the large number of people that use this particular address.

You can sign up for a gmail address and have it collect from outlook.com, plus you can also send as outlook.com from gmail as well.

First; ‘Outlook’ has many varities. You’re posting about outlook.com.

I have used Hotmail since the late 1990’s. I still have my first email address through them.

I am so disgusted with the new interface I am seriously considering shifting everything over to Gmail.

Gmail sucks pretty hard too.
