Just re-installed windows on a brand-spankin’-new hard drive, and still have it on a slave drive. Before the re-install and ‘new mastering’, I coppied out the contents of the mail alias folder in order to save all my mail. Now, well, I’m wondering how the heck I access it from OE? (If it matters, I’m running the most recent version of OE, and Win98SE)
And an addition to above question- I forgot to export my address book. Is there a way to grab that as well? I’ve tried running OE off the slave drive, and it doesn’t seem to recognize that it -has- an address book
Go to File|Import|Messages, select Microsoft Outlook Express 6, Import mail from an OE6 store directory, and browse to the location of your old mail. The procedure is similar for the Address Book; go to File|Import|Address Book. Search your old hard drive for *.dbx and *.wab if you aren’t sure where they are located.
