Does this show play in countries other than the US because that’s like 1/5 of the population. I thought 10 mil was huge.
Yes, it does, but I don’t think those numbers include that. However, I’m not sure the 55 million is right either. Where did you get that number? Was it a combination of the Tuesday and Wednesday viewership numbers? Because if so, then it’s not correct to say that 55 million people watched. Odds are, a lot of those were the same people watching both nights.
They said it on the commercial so your right, it probably was combined. Still, 27.5 million is huge.
Oh, it’s absolutely huge. They expected big numbers, but nothing like this. The Tuesday premiere was larger than the first finale!
Well, i didn’t see a minute of the first series, but my girlfriend made me tape it for her and we watched the first two episodes of this one.
And it’s like a train wreck - you can’t take your eyes away in case something even worse comes along. But now i’ve had my fix, i won’t be following it for the rest of the season. It was only the early, woeful contestants that i really wanted to see, because i like watching people cry or get angry as their dreams are smashed to smithereens.
That’s what I said last season. Now I’m an AI junkie. You poor, poor man. Your Tuesday and Wednesday nights have just been planned out for you for the next 3 months, and you don’t even realize it yet.
Happy
According to the estimates over at Nielsen, 26.50 million watched on Tuesday, and 24.91 watched on Wednesday. That’s a combined estimate of over 50 million people for the two-day finale, so that’s not far off. (Of course, that’s nothing compared to the Super Bowl’s 88 million viewers.)
Oh I’m a junkie. I may miss The Osbournes, or forget that The Surreal Life is on, but I NEVER miss American Idol. Tuesdays and Wednesdays, I’m in front of a TV, and I don’t care which one it is.
ABSOLUTELY PATHETIC!
Actually, even I watched a bit - as there was nothing on any other channel except a documentary on the history of cheese.
I won’t make that mistake again.
