Overzealous anti-virus software

We’ve been looking for a file, which we haven’t received even though the sender said he sent it. Turns out their anti-virus software scans outgoing as well as incoming messages. One address in the file is on Van Dyke Avenue. The virus scanner blocked the email from being sent because of ‘sexual discrimination’.

I did laugh out loud. :stuck_out_tongue:

It must be the anti-virus software’s first day.

I was thinking it was running on a PC.

For months, I’d email my status report to my boss, and he’d never get it. I started logging into a yahoo account from work and emailing it from there. We finally found out that the company email servers would silently block my outgoing email because it had an attachment with the word “status” in the name - I started naming it “stutas_date.doc” and it went through fine.

I don’t get it - what’s so (potentially) nefarious about the word “status”?
