We often hear that the 6 Nations rugby internationals are very popular viewing in Australia and New Zealand. Is this true? Did you watch the matches today? Did you see me? How many people watch or care about the European internationals?
I presume they’re on pay TV, which I don’t have. Used to watch them when they were free-to-air. There’s usually a good summary on the various sports shows, if not edited highlights.
Of course watching a ref blowing the pea out of his whistle every 2 minutes so that some mud besplattered sod can take a shot a penalty goal from 50m isn’t exactly rivetting TV. Give me Super 12 anyday … unless Aussie Rules was available.
