Ozone Generators

OK, I’m looking at moving my office into a part of the house that has a beautiful view but is prone to mildew and other types of things. A local contractor is recommending an Ozone Generator to kill the mildew and as a general air filter.

One of the guys I know who is an EE has said that ozone may damage my computer parts.

So please tell me what you know about ozone generators - will it cause my electrical equipment to go bad? Anything else I need to know?

I am already investigating other means for solving my problems so I am really specifically only looking for advice about ozone generators, not so much about alternative solutions.

Ozone is a poisonous gas and “If used at concentrations that do not exceed public health standards, ozone applied to indoor air does not effectively remove viruses, bacteria, mold, or other biological pollutants”

If you have a mildew problem, you have a moisture problem. I’d reccomend repairing any water leaks that may be present, and getting a dehumidifier if it’s just humid air.
