Not until I can take a look at your Hijack This log. It does sound like something or someone has removed or modified some privileges on your user account. Post the log and we’ll see if anything looks amiss.

I"m no expert like the rest of you, but it seems to be in order to me except for the 09 and 16.
I don’t see anything that worries me. I don’t know what that extra button is, but without an associated file, it’s probably innocuous. I doubt of Walmart (for all its evil) is disseminating malware from its site, so that doesn’t worry me, either. I do see a lot of toolbars and addons, and while none of them appear malicious, it’s possible that one of them is badly coded/corrupted/improperly installed or whatever and is causing problems unintentionally. Try removing a few of them and see what happens.
