Computers in general are weird.
People are weird.
I think being unable to clear my notifications is weird and discovering that somebody else has the opposite problem is weirder, the behavior of the red line is weird, and suddenly finding that I now have the power to rename and move threads apparently based just on the fact that I’ve been here a lot is weird. But lots of things are weird, so it goes.
I can’t view the list until the blue number comes back on at the avatar, which disappears when clicked the first time. The list is then unavailable until there is a new reply to relight it.
Huh. When I click on the avatar itself the list shows up, even when there isn’t a number showing.
Are you actually clicking your avatar image? I just tried it with the page zoomed in to 200% and it works fine.
I don’t mind having the slide-bar on the right all that much. What’s starting to perturb me is the delay in loading the page as I scroll down. That’s even an issue with a thread such as this one which, counting this post I’m making now, only has 45 posts. It’s 2020 and computers have been around for long before this century started. There’s no excuse for not having the whole page load. Either fix that or divide the thread into pages.
