Painful white bump on underside of toe.

What happened to my toe?

Yesterday, completely out of the blue, I started suffering intense pain in the big toe of my right foot; the pain worsened when I varied the weight on the foot (it felt like it was going to explode.

When I got home, I removed my sock to find a small white bump in the middle of the underside of my toe - it looked a little like a blister except it was only about 2mm across - certainly the white middle part was dead skin.

I reasoned that maybe there was a thorn embedded underneath it, so I opened it up with sterile tweezers; there was no fluid inside, and it started to feel better almost immediately, but the area around it was darkened and sore, not unlike a bruise.

What happened to my toe?

Sounds like a plantar’s wart to me.

If it gets bad, you can have a doctor remove it. Only takes a couple of minutes.

Of course IANAD.

Could be a wart / verucca (sp?) see a doctor if it don’t go away in a couple of days.
