At the end of the movie, when Vigo the Carpathian has been defeated, his painting is replaced by a painting of the Ghostbusters and Oscar that parodies a famous painting of the infant Jesus and the four gospel apostles. What is the name of the original painting?
Which famous adoration of the apostles paintings are even in the running? The GB2 painting doesn’t look like a copy of a real painting to me.
I would’ve thought if it was an “adoration” painting, it would be adoration of the Magi.
Not quite, but in the basic family:

well, my brother said he was pretty certain there was an original that depicted the four apostles and jesus, and it seems to me that it would be more humourous to parody another painting than to just create a new one. My brother isn’t as sure now. My dad says that he thinks there is an poriginal, but that it isn’t jesus and the apostles, but four philosophers and just some random baby. But, he has been known to not know things he thought he knew.
