Oh golly. That is a ton of buzz.
Roll my eyes …
And by the way … do you ever sleep?

Sure, that’s why I said I’d try to look 'em up later.
And further … I do stand corrected.
She was mentioned in this threadin February of this year, being mentioned as a dark horse for R-Veep.
If your search skill are better than mine, have at it.
Nope, those were the same mentions I was talking about. Good job.
I think Obama needs the organization and money of unions to get elected. It wasn’t so much the state Biden was from; it was the unions he represents. They used to call Dole the Senator from ADM. Biden is the same for Big Labor.
Obama doesn’t need anyone to get his people excited: McCain did (and certainly got it). McCain doesn’t need anyone to give his ticket experience; Obama - well, maybe.

Shodan
And now that he’s experiencing the first signs of trouble, we see panic, disorganization, and kneejerk responses. Great. Just what I want in a president.
But that’s the point, isn’t it? She shouldn’t have needed to spend the last two weeks force feeding herself basic information on Bush’s foreign policy. She should have spent the last eight years keeping track of it herself. I read an article somewhere which made this point clear with an apt comparison. You can tune into any sports phone-in radio show in the country and listen to people talking in explicit detail about, say, the resurrection of Lance Armstrong or Brett Favre’s time with the Packers, or whatever. More often than not, the participants will demonstrate their familiarity with the latest arguments for or against their position and be armed with the appropriate factual rebuttals, and the amount of detail they can go into proves they are fully conversant with the issue under discussion. The reason they are able to do this is because they are naturally interested in their subject and make the time to keep abreast with it.
Sarah Palin’s answer to the Bush Doctrine question made it clear that she is just not interested enough in Bush’s foreign policy to bother herself with retaining the most basic facts about it. That’s fine for most people, but not for Vice Presidential candidates.
It’s especially true when you consider that her ignorance on key matters is only part of the picture. Here’s someone who is already a demonstrated liar, who appears to have been engaged in the corrupt use of government to carry out a personal grudge, and whose judgment is certainly questionable.
The reaction here demonstrates that Republicans will line up for anything with the team logo on it. Retards and purportedly thoughtful ones alike - they lack a shred of integrity. Sam Stone proves again that he would hasten to defend absolutely anyone as long as they are on the Republican ticket.
No, actually we don’t.
What strikes me is how similar the current Republicans in power resemble the old style communists in Russia. It’s ideology over competencel, all the time. The only thing that matters to them is Palin’s ideology and the fact that she’s a conservative Christian who holds the “correct opinions” on homosexuality, abortion, and the role of government in aiding big business and not individuals.
It’s the same mind set that put 20 year olds in charge of Iraq’s financial system at the beginning of the American occupation. As long as they are true Bushies … nothing else matters.
Like Communism, the Conservative doctrine is beginning to be crushed by its own weight. Like communism, when things don’t go well, everything but the failure of the philosophy is blamed. Like communism, everyone else sees its failures except for the true believers.
We need to “drill baby drill” even if refineries and rigs aren’t damaged by Ike, for the short term.
We also need to continue to pursue wind, solar and any other potentially viable form of renewable energy for the long term.
Yes. Happy now?
Here’s an article from the Anchorage Daily News about it:
http://dwb.adn.com/news/alaska/story/8696558p-8595849c.html
In short, the Alaska Department of Wildlife, Fish, and Game, sets an annual quota for wolves to be killed, in order to prevent them from destroying the moose and caribou herds. They need this done because the wolves compete with human hunters of moose and caribou. The wolves are usually shot from planes by volunteer hunters.
The goal for the winter of 2007 was 382 wolves, but by the beginning of March, due to a combination of bad weather and high gas prices, only 38 had been killed. So, Wildlife, Fish, and Game came up with the idea, “Why don’t we use state helicopters?” The feeling was, even though it would be expensive and might cause political problems, helicopters could find packs easier than planes, would result in cleaner kills, and would destroy entire packs, instead of isolated wolves from packs. (Because wolves are pack animals, and rely on that to hunt, if you kill off members of a pack, it will be more difficult for the remaining pack members to survive).
What? They never heard of napalm?
What kind of psychopath gets her jollies by shooting defenseless animals from a helicopter? That is diseased.
Yes, this is exactly the problem. When I saw her answering the foreign policy questions, it soon became clear that I know more about foreign policy than she does, and I am not at all qualified to be VP. Seriously, WTF?
Iraq has more Shiites than Sunnis. The Sunnis were the ones in control before the invasion. Iran is ruled by Shiites.
While there probably aren’t new facts you could offer me that could make me vote for McCain/Palin, as I think I know enough facts about both of them to prevent that, there are facts that could have made me decide not to vote for Obama. However, I have done some research and decided that I support him, barring the revelation of new facts. If he had chosen a running mate on the level of Palin, that might have made me rethink the ticket, and his judgment, a quality I have thus far admired in him.
But you? You are incapable of rethinking, because you haven’t done the initially THINKING part. You had no idea Obama had foreign policy experience. You were just saying he didn’t because you heard someone else say he didn’t. And you were wrong. But does it matter? Nope. Wow. Totally uninformed, willfully ignorant, and stubborn about it too. Not admirable qualities.
Then why did you ask me to give you facts? What are we actually discussing here? I now realize that, when you asked me for cites about Obama’s foreign policy experience, and evidence that he had executive experience and could deal with Putin, all you were doing was trolling me, trying to get me to dance for you. Because it doesn’t matter, and you’ve admitted openly that you are unswayed by facts and evidence. So fuck you, SA. You are not worth talking to, so I’m going to stop doing it.
And the fun pouch. Don’t forget that.
