There’s a reason why Biden has been so thoroughly rejected when he ran for President. He’s either not very bright, or he doesn’t have very good self control. For example, when last year he said, “You cannot go to a 7-Eleven or a Dunkin’ Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent. I’m not joking.”
And who can forget his famous words regarding Obama, “I mean, you got the first mainstream African American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy.”
And of course, the other day he said that Hillary might have been a better choice than he is. Way to build confidence in the ticket, Joe.
Biden as Vice President is an international incident waiting to happen. It’s almost like he has Tourettes or something.

When Biden ran for President this year, he got 3% of the vote in his own state primary, and 1% elsewhere. He completely flamed out. Your own party rejected him for president in a big way. And then Obama picks him for VP. If the prime qualification for VP is that you can step in and be president, well, given Biden’s ability to run his mouth without thinking, that seems to be… problematic.

Him saying something you disagree with regarding Iraq does not mean he is inane or stupid. As for Iraq breaking up along ethnic lines, it’s not unprecidented and might happen whether you want it to or not. There are experts who agree with Biden about this, and it’s been vigorously debated as a solution to this situation. You don’t like it. OK. Doesn’t make Biden stupid that he does.
By that standard (I disagree with you, therefore you are inane/stupid), Palin is also inane and stupid (my opinion of Creationists who expect librarians to ban books at her pleasure, theoretically, of course), as well as McCain, who doesn’t know how to use the Intarwebs and isn’t sure if condoms prevent the spread of AIDS. Those are just the ones that leap to mind.

What percentage of the vote do you think Palin would get if she ran for President? Does failing to get a large percentage of votes in the primaries, when running against such luminaries as Clinton, Obama, and Edwards, mean he’s unqualified to be the Vice Presidential nominee? I just don’t think so. Biden is not my favorite Democrat of them all, obviously. But he’s not an egregiously inexperienced, provincial, unqualified candidate. Attack Biden all you want-- doesn’t bolster Palin’s credentials at all. We get that you don’t like Obama or Biden, and you’re entitled to that. But I see no way in which that makes Palin an actually good choice, either.
And if you rethunk the ticked, what your course of action have been. To vote for McCain? To not vote at all?

You know the context in which I made that request, and you know the context in which I mean facts don’t matter.
