Or so says one website. Todd and Sarah Palin to divorce

We’ll see. If so, I say Sarah is politically dead in the water, if she wasn’t already. A faithless woman is among the worst things on earth to the patriarchal religious right. Jezebel! They’ll cry. Unless they just say the media ruined their marriage by sending Holywood starlets to seduce Todd and insist that Sarah’s own affair is a lie perpetuated by the liberal media because they hate the troops. We’ll see. Mind you, she doesn’t need to work again with the 11 million dollar book deal. (I think Harper will be regretting that, especially if the AR story is true… not many people other than religious right will want to read it, and if they bail on her Harper is left with a warehouse of books and lays of yet another two dozen editors to make up the deficit, but that’s not SP’s concern.)

I think she’s toast politically anyway because she’s unable to appeal to people outside her core constituency, and is playing a game people have tired of. But that aside I think you’re fundamentally misunderstanding her supporters. It seems to me that most of them are totally willing to forgive the failings of political leaders if they stand up for the right ideas, which is also true of people of other political persuasions. These people can be very judgmental but you’re forgetting how much emphasis they place on forgiveness. Many prominent religious conservatives are multiple divorcees. Now, it’s true that these are all or mostly all men. But if Ted Haggard has a chance to rebuild his following after being outed as a gay crackhead, Sarah Palin could be forgiven for a divorce.

That’s assuming Palin and her husband actually are separating, since we don’t know if their denial is the truth either. And now that we’re at the bottom of the post I can point out that there’s no reason for this to be anybody else’s business.

But will a divorce effect the character of Todd showing up on SNL in an Artic Cat snow suit? That shit always cracked me right up.

The Mudflats notes the rumors but doesn’t know what’s true about the divorce. It does note than Sherry Johnston (the other grandmother) has had her court date moved back on her drug charges.

The odd thing is the mention of her moving to Montana. It’s the closest state to Alaska that isn’t a community property state. (Assuming that Sarah was talked into signing a community property agreement with Todd in Alaska back when he was the bread winner.)

Think about it. She’s about to come into a lot of book money. So, move to a suitable state, sign deals, do the actual divorce later??

The one thing to remember is that sometimes Rove would himself plant wrong information about GWB so the press would jump on it so he could turn on the press for slurring his man thus masking something that he didn’t want played up.

The thing people don’t focus on is Sarah Palin probably had next to no chance of winning the Republican nomination in 2012 anyway. Politically she wasn’t dead. Alaskans still love her but her political presidental ambitions aren’t alive, if they ever were. I really doubt even Palin, herself had any hopes or still has hopes of winning.

But you know what, there are other things in life. Palin knows this, she is still a popular person. Regardless of what you think of her, she brings inthe crowds and people like her.

It’s like Jay Leno said when Clinton left office, "It doesn’t matter who wins Gore or Bush, the fact is the cool guy (Clinton) is out of office, and the other two are boring).

Say what you want about Palin, but she’s hardly boring, she entertaining and she brings in the crowds, along with those crowds goes money.

Look at it this way if you’re a wealthy housewife and you want to give a talk who are you gonna get, Palin or Vice President Biden? No contest, Palin is interesting Biden is boring. Even if Biden is smarter, has a lot more relevance in what he’s saying, that doesn’t matter, when it comes to raising money she’ll bring those donors in, just to see her, 'cause Palin is the “Cool” one.

I think Palin did a good thing by quitting her celebrity was getting in the way. Is she cashing in? Probably, but I read she can command about $200,000 per speaking engagment. That is $200,000 for a single talk in ONE afternoon.

As for the divorce it may actually help her. One thing Hillary received bad marks for was she didn’t divorce Bill when he cheated on her. Polls said people saw her as having no backbone or respect for staying by her man.

In today’s world divorce is no big deal.

And Palin is “entertaining” only in the way the Nick Nolte mug shot was entertaining.

It does look like she’s trying to get rid of Todd before she has to give him any book money. I doubt she’ll be successful.

As to her alleged infidelity, unless she openly admits it (which I think is unlikely, given her personality disorder), her wankers will say it’s all a dirty lie. If she does admit it, they’ll still blame the media for reporting on it, say she deserves forgiveness,attack the “MSM” for trying to attack her for her personal business, and of course, loudly remind everybody that CLINTON GOT A BLOWJOB!!!
I hope it’s all true, by the way, that dirty little whore. I wonder if that’s really Todd’s baby.
