Anyone know how to run the PP software as a limited user, not an administrator in Windows XP Professional?
(And why the cartoon dog in XP “Professional”? Damn.)

Are you running the standard palm desktop?
I don’t know about XP, but in Windows 2000 you need administrator privilege only for installing HotSync. So give the user administrator privilege, install HotSync, then take the privilege away. It should continue to work.
JSA: yes.
Scr4: I tried that, as their web site suggests. The limited user can’t open the date file or whatever the datebook is called.
Thanks.
I got it to work.
I made the user an administrator, installed the palm app as before, but this time I copied the PALM folder. I made the user limited, rebooted and the folder was there without being copied back.
Strange but cool.
Thanks, all.
