I’m 37. Sometimes thongs, sometimes bikinis, sometimes gramma undies, depending on what I grab out of the drawer. Always cotton or cotton/lace. Never satin or nylon.
I just saw a pair of thong underwear for sale on a website and the front said “Remember: You Pray With That Mouth.” Cracked me up.

Boy shorts or thongs in either cotton or extremely soft lace w/a cotton crotch lining are all I wear. I also prefer to keep the colors simple and usually don’t have designs on my panties, but sometimes I just can’t resist something really cute

I’m 19 and I like wearing bonds cotton hipster bikini, especially string ones. (I hate hate hate anything that has a waistband anywhere near my waist. (Don’t get me wrong, I’m no Britney, I hate that really low cut look.)) I also like wearing bonds hipster g-strings. All in bright colours like blue, red, pink, yellow, green.
Cos I’m Aussie and it’s hot here and I have an active job I wear boardies a lot of the time, so I wear undies to match.
And they’re all well fitting. I hate baggy undies.
I only have 2 pairs of silky undies, they seem a bit old for me. I was given them. I like them, but I would never buy them.
BF always has to check what colour I’m wearing. He likes my “superman” undies (red with blue edging).
Hanes “Barely There” underwear (Jockey also makes a similar line, but I forget the name). Top and bottom. Usually the briefs, but sometimes the hi-cut depending on what I stumble across at the closeout store (heh.) Mostly “skin” colored or white. I can’t wear anything low-slung because I have a horizontal scar from a childhood surgery a bit below my waistline and if anything rubs on it I’d be squirming all day.
Now that I’m losing some weight and starting to wear clingier pants I should probably think about a thong, but I confess I’m not thinking about it too hard.
When I was a kid Sears used to make the best underpants…instead of elastic around the thighs it used to have ribbing like the neck of a t-shirt. Those were SOOOO comfy but I don’t think they make them anymore.
I like the idea of a thong, because that’s where most of the panties end up, anyway. In reality, though, I’ve never found a thong that doesn’t make me feel that if I walk too fast I may be sawed in two. Bikinis tend to “travel”, but some are ok. My boyfriend griped that I needed to wear more exotic underwear, until I pointed out that he needed to lose his beergut and I’d consider it. Cheez, who cares…
I tend to wear, normally, cute thongs such as pink and rainbow edging Hello Kitty pants, for example. . I don’t really change the kind of pants I wear unless my SO has specifically asked me to, or if i’m doing my laundry.
41: High cut brief in cotton from Victoria’s Secret. I also like the microfiber: those are excellent for skiing. VS are well made, and last a long time. The elastic won’t stretch out and ride up.
I don’t usually like the thongs --I like my ass to be covered. Sometimes thongs are too narrow to cover up all the other stuff too. Uncomfortable.
Lace is too itchy. Satin is too hot, not absorbant, like sticking your ass in a plastic baggie.
Another VS hi-cut cotton fan here! I love all the colors and patterns. It is too hot in Texas to wear satin or lace, unless you want a rash. eewwwwwww…
I have never understood the concept of the thong.
I have tried to avoid getting my panties or swimsuit in there, now I am supposed to actually place my panties in there? I think not! I tried it once, and I walked funny all day. Never again!
Oh, I am 31, married, and hubby rarely notices my underwear. I am not a lingerie kind of person at all!

Well, I suppose some of you were expecting me to check in, on this subject. And, I’d hate to disappoint a lady. My preference is sexy, which , to me, means minimal coverage. Material is pretty much irrelevant, although some fabrics which have a richer look or feel are more sensual than some others. I actually agree with some of the ladies who’ve said lace is not their favorite. It looks nice, but it doesn’t feel nice.
But, I totally loathe, hate, and despise the boy cut briefs that seem to be so popular, lately. They completely destroy the visual flow of the leg that is one of the great beauties of Woman. And, boxers? :rolleyes:
And, someone asked when showing underwear became fashionable instead of trashy. Well, the two aren’t mutually exclusive. Sometimes trashy is fashionable. And, I suspect this particular fashion probably dates to the late eighties, when idiotic young men were displaying three inches of their boxers above the waistbands of their baggy-ass pants. I hated it then, and it doesn’t appeal to me now, even if it is a woman doing it.
I’ve said before, a little trashiness is hot. But, it needs to be done deliberately, yet with a an innocent sense of fun, in order to be sexy. Deliberately letting your underwear hang out, to titillate, doesn’t make that cut. Unintentionally letting your underwear hang out, because you just don’t know or don’t care, doesn’t, either.
And, for all the ladies who’ve said their SOs don’t notice their underwear, so they just wear granny panties, or whatever… well… what is there to notice? Full coverage briefs are about as sexy as sweat pants. Who’s going to comment on them? (Aside from the occasional fetishist.) If you want him to notice, try wearing just a thong or string bikini under either a soft T-shirt that just reaches your hips, or one of his button-down shirts, unbuttoned.
He’ll notice.
As a guy, I prefer that region to be covered by decent cut cotton or satin. I hate lace. I find lace underwear completely and totally un-sexy. Call me odd. I don’t like real granny looking panties, but the VS cotton are pretty nice, and satin is fine too. My fiancee isn’t built to wear a thong well, so I prefer her in full coverage stuff, but not lace…anything but lace.
I don’t care, to be honest. I prefer them off anyway. Wear what is comfortable.
I like cotton panties, but very brief cotton panties. I wear cotton g- strings, string bikinis, and bikini panties in a variety of girly colours like white, pink, purple and baby blue. I don’t like high waisted low cut “granny knickers” because I find them uncomfortable, and they are impossible to wear with a pair of hipster jeans!
I dislike lace and nylon panties, as I find them uncomfortable because they don’t stretch, and I have the bubble booty from hell!
