I see the words and that they are together in a seemingly coherent statement, but Whole Foods and really cheap in my experience are mutually exclusive, like matter and antimatter, unless you forgot the adjective phrase “wildly overpriced” in there somewhere.

They actually do have many reasonably priced items. I don’t shop there most of the time, because I’m a cheap bastard, but their bulk bean selection is among the best and reasonably priced, as well as their beers and wines. Don’t know about pizza dough, but not everything there is crazily overpriced. You just gotta know what to look for.

A recent visit to an NYC Whole Foods showed many of their prices equivalent to supermarket prices, and the meats are better quality. Prices have dropped since Amazon took over.

Can’t argue, I’ve only shopped there a few times. While the quality was excellent, it was very expensive. However its been a long time since I’ve been and I didn’t even know Amazon took over, total wtf moment for me when I read that just now.

Agreed. If you live in or near a metro area and are resorting to eating at one of these you’re just not trying hard enough. I’m not sure what part of Minnesota the OP is from but if it’s anywhere near the twin cities I can name dozens of better places not to mention the local chains; Davanni’s, Carbone’s, Chanticlear, Broadway, Red Savoy’s, Punch. I lurrrv pizza and I can go the rest of my exsistance without ever eating at the big three.

I LOVE Chanticlear, Davanni’s and Red’s Savoy. Sadly the original Red’s Savoy in St. Paul closed

I really LOVE Davanni’s but they cost me over $18 after tax for a Large Pepperoni Pizza and the best coupon I usually ever get is a measly 10% off, I still patronize them quite a bit and love their pizza!
