Oh how I dreaded parent-teacher conference day as a kid. Even though I wasn’t a bad kid and had no serious discipline problems, I was always paranoid that my teachers were laying out every rotten thing I had ever done, and that I would be in huge trouble when my parents got home.
I imagine that feeling is a little amplified when your dad is the President of the United States.
I’d make them sit at the little desks. How could you pass up an opportunity like that? If possible I’d want one or two of the secret service agents to sit down as well.

Definitely. And make them sign in as well(and keep the paper as a souvenir). I don’t see why either of them would miss their children’s conferences, though. (then again, my husband has only been to about 3 across 3 kids and decades of schooling). I like that they went together. ![]()
