Parts of your life that aren't "typical"

If I were to list all the non-typical things about my childhood, people would think I was making shit up. But here’s a short list:

I was a ventriloquist.

Dad was a magician, puppeteer, Ronald McDonald, policeman, and a few dozen other things, many of them at the same time. For instance, he would do the traffic reporting for an AM station from our upstairs bathroom while getting ready to go to work.

We spent summers at a nudist camp.

I have no post high school formal education, but have been working in technology since I was 15 and am now 51. I have a gift for learning new things.

It is not. It’s not as uncommon as it used to be, but most adults either have children or want to have children. Especially people who are in your age-range.

As far as answering the OP goes, I have nothing. I’m the most typical person I know.

My husband and I are both college students. In our forties.

He’s going to be a teacher, his classes are filled with women half his age.
I’m finishing an electrical apprenticeship, and I’m usually the only female in my classes.

He’s a better cook than I am, although I’m a more efficient one. I am the fix-it person around the house, though he handles all computer and AV-related tasks. He sews when needed, I pay the bills.

Good thing we’re fairly relaxed about “typical” gender roles.
