Party Quirks II: Electric Boogaloo

No idea on Kat yet. The summary is not making anything spring to mind either… hmm.

MadtheSwine and Rysto should post more!

Dear Guests, can I get you any refreshments? Artisanal beer or cheese? There might be some non-blended pie left. Would anyone be interested in seeing my Elvis Costello vinyl collection?

(Ha ha, they aren’t noticing me or discussing me…maybe I’ll be the dark horse that wins the whole thing! Muhahaha!)

cough What? I didn’t say anything…I’m just savoring this last bit of pie.

I’ve noticed you! But you are puzzling me at the moment.

Enjoy the pie - can I get you anything else? I have to agree with you about Picard being superior to Kirk.

Drain Bead – asks for beer and hot dogs
Wants peach pie, blends makes her puke
Talks about peach pie again
Wants toast and tea
Feels left out
Thinks “less is more”
You did a good job there!
Do you play Magic: the Gathering?
Yes! Or, well, I did. I haven’t played in years. No one to play with, and it’s not very fun playing by myself. :frowning: If anyone wants to start a game up, I’ve got a kick ass red Goblin deck, and an awesome Megrim deck. That baby can do some damage fast!

Some white wine would be lovely.

To further what I was saying about Picard, he struck me as being a more dangerous opponent than Kirk. I could see a lot of people writing him off because of his age…but that man could kick some butt when needed.

Agreed, amazing skills. Clearly Captain Picard knocks Kirk out of the water.

Damn, I’m not sure I ever released the hounds against LHOD – his post in the other thread has been spoilered, so it’s okay to search for all this posts in this forum.

My sincere apologies for this – I came in to check on that, and it turned out there were several things waiting for my game-mod attention, and I just got distracted. Sorry! :frowning:

You rock.
No, but I have been known to engage in some Mornington Crescent .

Let’s see, with the Sydney-Walpole Conventions for Party Gamesof MC, I think Bank , although a standard opening, should kick us off quite nicely, especially in we go to a River South Demi-Loop, to accomodate the rookies.

**Official guess: tdn must mention some genre of music in his posts.
**

Subtly done.

I was going for baroque.

And thus tdn faces the music.

Not yet guessed:
Antinor01
Dolores Reborn (one incorrect guess by Oredigger)
Drain Bead
Inner Stickler
Justin Credible
Kat
Left Hand of Dorkness
MadTheSwine
Omi no Kami
OtakuLoki
Rysto
Guessed, but welcome to continue to post if quirk is maintained:
Autolycus (Munchausen syndrome/hypochondriac)
brujaja (anagrams)
Eureka (emoticons)
Revenant Threshold (thinks he’s in Great Debates)
tdn (musical genres)
Wargamer (Game Room fanatic)
Note: I think that’s it on official guesses – correct me if I’m wrong on that.

I’d love to hear more about the animals everyone likes and dislikes…it’s for charades later.
I really like the Three-Striped Night Monkey and the San Jose Island kangaroo rat. Oh, and kitties. Kitties are nice, too.
Kirk or Picard?
Colonel Tigh!

So she’s hit upon your operating mode, tdn?

More seriously, I’m not a werewolf. Though I will admit I have been accused of being hairy enough to be one. FTM, I actually have to vacuum more often than most pet owners. Not to clean up the pet hair, but to clean up the Loki hair. I shed.

I could offer photographic proof, but I really that wouldn’t be a fun sort of scandal.

Oh, Oredigger77, do you often have your parties turn into impromptu operating rooms? Do you have a license to practice medicine? And if not, do your parties meet the standards of any of the various hospital associations?

D’oh! Good one.

You old honky tonk dude, you.
A dictionary is nice, yes? Alphabetising is wonderful.
Agreed. Dictionaries frequently help in organizing thoughts.

Yeah, that reference gear is all the rage! But the one time you really need an item like that, it’ll be in your other pants!

For instance, say you’re discussing the ancients with Noam Chomsky, but you’re wearing your spandex jeans with two-inch pockets…

(I had a bunch left over.)

Yeesh, party guests seem to be dropping like flies now that the hosts have perked up a bit. I shudder to think about the carnage that’s going to ensue when the buffet runs out of snacks and the blenders all break down.

In any event, let’s talk animals. Personally I was always a big fan of the great dane, because it’s fun having a dog that can double as a riding pony in a pinch.

I used to think that rabbits and weasels were cute, but then I actually met a friend who owned some. They tended to stink, go crazy, and they couldn’t be taught to cook or even operate a food processor, so the romance was kind of disintegrated by the cold, hard light of reality.

Oh, and cats are awesome. They’re like the land version of dolphins, with twice the evil and half the social skills.
