Lots of people know Amrish Puri as the villain in Indiana Jones & The Temple of Doom.
“Kali Maa! Kali maa, shakti de, bali chadaoon tere aage.”
(Kali Mother, give me strength so I may sacrifice for you.)
“Maaro maaro sewer ko, chamdi nocho peelo khoon.”
(Beat the pig, rip his skin, drink his blood."
So do you know what the entire Temple of Doom chant means in English? I tried writing to Lucasfilm, but they never replied.
I do! Sometime if I’m in the mood I’ll write it down, but if you have questions about a specific line, I’d be glad to answer.
The only thing I don’t know is the village - sometimes they speak Sanskrit, which is akin to Italians speaking Latin, and sometimes Hindi, which is OK but they are really too dark to be North Indians which mostly speak Hindi.
A couple of years ago, I watched the DVD of Mr. India (1987) at a friend’s house (with English subtitles turned on for my benefit). The title character is sort of a cross between James Bond and The Invisible Man, and also takes in orphans for good measure.
Amrish Puri played Mogambo, a megalomaniac supervillain in the best James Bond tradition (complete with private island and nuclear missiles), in a superbly over-the-top performance. I rate it at least four samosas out of five, and would recommend the movie to any other Bollywood fans.
You only need to look at his IMDB bio to see how prolific he was: 221 movies since 1971!

Mr. India is one of my fave movies because Anil Kapoor is so HOT. He’s my favorite actor!
He’s great, I admit, but the eye candy in that movie (for me at least) was definitely provided by Sridevi. To each his/her own, Anaamika!
How about that line that the choir sings just as Mola Ram is walking up to the sacrificial victim? The one that ends with “yaamo” or something like that. And what does Mola Ram say just before he says “Kali Maa!” Also, I’d just like to say that I’m very happy to find someone out there who knows this. Thank you for your assistance.

Ok, I’m back. I just put the movie in, I knew if someone just asked I couldn’t help but translate the whole thing! Amrish Puri is henceforth known as AP. Here goes:
During the first sacrifice, when the guy comes out:
Then he reaches for the heart. This is indistinct, but it sounds like
Then he yanks the heart out.
Then later, they give blood to Indy:
Then, Indy fights back. And they bring out the voodoo which neither I nor any Indian has ever been able to figure out. There’s no voodoo in India!
Then my favorite line, where they get ready to beat him:
Also, later he says more things. When they’re escaping, he says:

Also, the kids say bacchao! (save me) and stuff. But most of the kids are little British Indians, and don’t seem to have the proper accent! The large man who gets pulled into the roller is not Indian, his accent makes me wince.
And Indy himself does a fairly decent job of saying “You betrayed Shiva!” in Hindi at the end, although the word they use for betray is not truly Hindi, sounds like Sanskrit.
The villagers are really much too dark to be speaking Hindi. They look like South India. They should be speaking Tamil, Telgu, or Malyali. But then they are near the mountains. And sometimes they even speak Sanskrit! 
All in all, it’s a great movie.
Oh, and we don’t eat monkey brains or snakes or any of that stuff.

I think Mola Ram says another sentence between these two, something that sounds like “Mook di de di Kali Maa.”
Also, do you know the words that the choir sings before Mola Ram makes his entrance? (For that matter, does “Mola Ram” mean anything? There’s a part where they chant “Mola Ram, suga ram”.)
Oh yes, it’s
“Mukti deti hai Kali Maa.”
“Kali Maa gives freedom!”
I’m sure Mola Raam & Suga Raam mean something, but I’m not sure what. Raam is the name of one of our gods, so it may be a play on that. You know, bow to the new Raam. I’m not sure what the choir chants, either.
