A Paso Fino horse make s very exquisite steps-he lifts his hooves up about 5"-12" inches, and the pace is very distinctive. Is this behaviour instinctualor trained? And how DOyou go about training a horse to do this?
I saw a film clip of one…appatrently, this typeof gait is popular in Columbia.
Does anybody train these horses in the USA?
I’m into horses, but not an expert on Paso Finos.
Paso Finos are naturally gaited, baby Paso Finos will do the gait naturally in the field. Training is more a refining of the natural gait, not an attempt to teach a horse the gait.
I do know there are Paso Fino breeders in the US, a Google search should fetch you some sites.
