Passed the A+ Essentials (2009) today

I know A+ isn’t that highly thought of around here, but non-the-less I took the 220-701 today. I needed 675 to pass, and I got 840 . Now to schedule the 220-702. The test was easier than I expected. For practice I bought an Exam Cram book, went through the questions in it, then used the CD with a test simulation. For the simulation you needed 75%, and I would get from 76% to 78%, just barely passing, so I was surprised when I did a lot better on the actual exam.

OK, so, I have an associate’s degree in network technology, a CCNA certification, and soon to have an A+. And I think I’ll work on a Linux+ next. So, this is my game plan to get into IT:

[li]Wait for the economy to pick up and companies to start hiring again[/li][li]After all of the people with actual experience are hired then I with my degree and three certifications will be a shoo-in :D.[/li][li]Profit[/li][/ol]

Nobody funny.

Congrats on doing so well!

Thank you.

Update, today, April 15, 2010, I passed the Practical Application exam. This means that I passed both exams and now can receive my A+ certification.

Well, first I have wait five days. And then…well, then after ordering my certification I’ll have to wait another four the six weeks, but then, then I’ll have my physical document proving that I am A+ certified. Wohoo!

Woohoo! Congrats and good luck!

Thanks :).

Yay!!! Congrats!

Thank you.
