Pat Buchanan anti-NWO stance

Buchanan writes of the United States of America creeping toward a New World Order and he sees patriotism and globalism as mutually exclusive. It seem to be a major plank in his Reform Party platform.

Debate?

Nationalism is the second lowest form of collectivism. The lowest, is of course racism. My advice to Pat Buchanan and his followers is to grow the fuck up. This high school spirit shit is irrelevant and inefficient.

You might be correct…however, thousands recently protesting and picketing the WTO in Seattle might not necessarily agree…

From what I gleamed, these protestors are not paranoid about a NWO as much as they are exasperated that the NWO does not share the same concerns that they do. They think that some trees in Bolivia or sea turtles in the adriatic are more important than cash money in America - oh wait I’m sounding like Buchanan, or some other evil republican. Let us not forget, that fiscally Buchanan is very republican. The fact that he is on the ‘social’ fringe of the republican party does not change his attitude towards the relationship between business and government.

His concerns with the NWO are in a way very similar to those of the protestors of the WTO - put very simply, Buchanan and his ilk is WACK and few people agree with them. Being thus diminished in public opinion, tthey seek to diminish the scope of their marginalization by diminishing the scope of the society in which they are marginalized. Futile, if you ask me. If 250 million Americans think he is an idiot, what does it matter if 6 billion world citizens think he is an idiot? Somehow, he perceives a difference.

Buchanan seems to question whether or not America can still call her own shots or if rather the United Nations Commision outranks
her…

An interesting question…one that I’m not settled about.

He offers:

Well, everyone has their own opinions.

The question of immigration is rather difficult, but I think it is only made so by unions who fail to realize the expediency of expanding into the countries that are supposedly threatening us. I mean, if you can run a racket like Boeing in Kansas, why the hell can’t you run it in Lagos?

We don’t need more laws, we need more visionaries.

So what you’re saying is, it comes down to a disagreement between the NWO and the WWF?

The opportunities for bad jokes abound. I must be strong…
