Pat Robertson's terror link

So Pat Robertson is invested in the terror regime in Liberia ( WP article). It now seems that his Liberian buddies are cozy with Al-Qaeda; for a pay off he provided refuge post-9/11(SMH article).

But a few years after American Embassy staff stood on an airport tarmac in Liberia to bid a sad farewell to the five dead Americans, Pat Robertson signed an agreement with Charles Taylor allowing Robertson’s for-profit company, Freedom Gold, to start a mining venture in southeastern Liberia. The deal gives Taylor’s regime 10 percent ownership of the company, not including royalities and rental fees that it will pocket when the mining venture gets rolling.

Investigators from several countries concluded that President Charles Taylor of Liberia received a $US1million payment for arranging to harbour the operatives, who were in the region for at least two months after the September 11 attacks on New York and Washington.

Now I don’t want to be flip and call for a regime change at the Christian Broadcast Network. I do want to know if anyone thinks there should be some kind of official action against Robertson for this. Is this just “business as usual”? If these reports were about Saddam would we already be in Bagdad? I guess it gets sticky when we start really looking for who all is invested with this monster. Should we start putting the screws to Liberia?
