Patriots owner Robert Kraft charged in Florida prostitution sting

You would think a billionaire would be a little more discreet than frequenting a rub n’ tug.

Let’s go to the videotape!

Actually, on second thought, let’s not.

<insert joke about deflating balls>

Already saw some nutjob suggesting taking the entire draft away from the Patriots for this.

Doesn’t go far enough! Strip them of ALL SuperBowl titles and sell Tom Brady into White Slavery!

Heh! Heh! You said ‘strip’.

 Sorry.

Let’s go to the quarry and throw stuff down there! Now THAT’S funny!

As a huge New England Patriots fan I have to say … good, I hate that fucking guy.
(but leave the titles and Tom Terrific alone)

Jesus, up here in Patriots country, conspiracy theories blaming the charges on Goodell are already making the rounds.

You’d think so! And maybe avoid a place where the women are trafficked.

According to Adam Schefter from ESPN, Kraft “is not the biggest name involved” in the sting. I can’t wait…

I guess the Superbowl win wasn’t enough of a happy ending for him.

From the linked story in the OP:

*The case involving Mr. Kraft is more complicated. A widower, he has been charged with two misdemeanors, not felonies, and those charges may be reduced or dropped. *

What the heck does that mean? What does his marital status have to do with potential charges for breaking laws? Do married men in Florida get treated more harshly than single guys by the courts for patronizing the local rub-n-tug?

Adultery is still a crime in FL, apparently.

Wouldn’t surprise me if he thought he was being relatively discreet and avoiding a potential Stormy Daniels situation where he gets blackmailed by his $5,000-a-night escort. Of course it probably helps if you don’t show up to the strip mall massage parlor in your limo.

Probably just that it’s more socially acceptable for a widower to be seeing a prostitute than a married man. Not that it really matters as far as the courts are concerned (the average police report for this type of thing won’t even indicate if the guy is married or not). He’s probably looking at diversion anyways; the real problems will be what the NFL imposes.

Worst celebrity sex tape ever.

Yeah, really. Or maybe also that out in a Jupiter strip mall he would not be as recognizable as in, say, a fancy South Beach venue.

Whooocaaaaaaaarrreees. Guy wanted a handy.

Most marriages are “till death do you part”, otherwise things get awkward (and smelly). Since his wife passed I’m not sure how relevant this is.

His girlfriend may care, then again she may not. But I doubt “cheating on your girlfriend” is even a crime in Florida.

I recall with the Kobe Bryant rape case, someone pointed out then that Colorado had adultery as a (unenforced) crime (the alleged assault was in Colorado). I believe they’ve since repealed that archaic law but it’s probably still a crime in one or another states.
