i was reading my straight dope books the other day for the bazillionth time when i thought i started noticing some patterns to the answers cecil gave based on the ways the questions were asked. of course, the subject matter was always different, but basic stuff like making a crack about where the person was from in some instances where that was relevant, telling them they should give him some money when a bet was mentioned, etc… i couldn’t come up with many, but has anyone else noticed this?
