How would one go about adding Paul Newman’s version of ‘Plastic Jesus’ from the movie Cool Hand Luke to my ipod.
The song is available on Youtube. Is there a way to up load it off of Youtube to my ipod via itunes?
Thanks!

Go here, d/l song. Add it to your itunes. Not sure if it’s your song, but I just googled around for it.
Is that what you wanted? (I assume the song is legal to d/l and share and all). If not- uh…
Don’t do it?
*In case you don’t know what to do, go down to the bottom of the page- there is a link there to d/l the song. Click it, and save to your computer as a whatever music player file you use. And then from there you should be able to do it.
And if this is illegal or something- rather than have a poster bitch at me, could they just report it to the Mod, and they just come along and delete my post or something if I’m in the wrong? Gracias.
There are some versions on itunes, but not with Paul singing. Sorry, can’t be more help.

…lets you convert any YouTube video to an mp3 file. What you do with it after that is up to you, like copy it to your iPod. Assuming, of course, that it is a public domain video…TRM
Didn’t Harry Dean Stanton sing that in the movie?
Just checked my DVD and Newman did sing it in the movie.
So…nevermind.
Thanks so much for your reply. The song downloaded fine to my itunes, but the problem is that this version cuts off the last part of the song. Paul does stop singing for a second, but then begins to sing a speeding up last verse. This part is missing.
Tim,
Thanks so much! The process you suggested worked great!
Only a slight problem. My itune song list lists the name of the song as “rename your file”. Is there some way to rename the file to Plastic Jesus?
Thanks again!
On a PC, select the song, press Ctrl+i, select the “Info” tab, and type in whatever name you like.
I tried that, but itunes seems to be blocking me from doing anything.
On any of the songs that come from "normal " sources, when I click “info”, I can change things, but not this song from YouTube.
I’m afraid that itunes is going to somehow sense that this song is not “normal” and will soon not let me play it through them.
This has happened before when I got Plastic Jesus from another source (Tubesock). Itunes said something like it didn’t know where the song came from and therefore it couldn’t be played.
