Just heard a discussion on UK radio discussing a print of Schrader’s work-in-progress from which he has been dismissed. Guy said it promised to be the movie of the year if finshed in that form but studio felt there was insufficient gore and too much namby-pamby exploration of ‘good vs evil/faith in question’ stuff.
Sounds a shame.
