No way! My butler loves them.
I’ve never seen the Fast and Furious movies (being one of the elite and all), but I remember him from Pleasantville. What a shame.
You might want to phrase that sentiment a little differently. ![]()
As far as the fate of the movie franchise goes, I think they’d be in bigger trouble if it was Vin Diesel. His was certainly one of the major characters, in the top three maybe, but it is an ensemble franchise that has had some turnover between movies.
I thought he was only in the first one, but IMDB says he was in sixth and the upcoming seventh.
So, given that he’s been in less than half the movies already, probably the franchise can do without Vin, too.
He’s been in four of the six, and has been a producer for the last three.
The numbering of the Fast and Furious movies is haphazard. Vin Diesel’s character of Dominic Toretto was in every movie except number 2, and only a cameo in number 3 (which is technically set sometime in the future*). Numbers 2 and 3 are also considered the worst of the series and easily ignored, while episode 1 and then 4 onward slot together very closely and are a lot of ridiculous fun.
I’m going to guess that at some point in episode 7, Paul Walker’s character of Brian O’Conner will be driving a car really fast and taking risks. It shouldn’t be too difficult to manufacture a plot turn where O’Conner dies.

not liking a person isn’t a crime
how long do you have to wait after someone dies to say you didn’t like him
You said you didn’t know who he was, now you don’t like him?
Damn, he was only 40 years old. Unfortunately there are some mistakes you only get to make once.
I enjoyed the Fast and the Furious movies (of those I’ve seen), a lot of big dumb fun. I did want to grab his character by the lapels and shake him though, throwing away a police career for what exactly?
Let me get this straight: although you’ve been here several years, you have never heard of the concept of threadshitting, and have no clue why that might be a problem?
Anyway, sad as it is, what a Hollywood ending. Nevertheless, another one here thinking that although Walker was one of the better things in the F 'n F franchise, the series will no doubt keep going. There have already been versions with almost nothing in common with the Walker/Diesel films but the title (Tokyo Drift, anyone?)
Oh, please. You know exactly what threadshitting is and why it’s rude to jump into a memorial thread to say “who cares he’s dead”. You’re opinion of him as an actor has nothing to do with it.
Anyway, complaints about mod actions go in ATMB, as I’m sure you also know.
He wasn’t even driving apparently.
He also starred in this – makes me weep every time, mostly because it’s based on a true story.
Take it to ATMB – this thread isn’t the place to discuss it.

Apparently the deal was that others could drive with him for a price, which was donated to Philippine typhoon relief.
He’s also gone to Chile and Haiti to help out with disaster relief there as well.
I did meet the guy once, we were doing similar workouts at the gym and got to talking a bit, being in the same area and all. Very nice guy.
Still can’t believe it. He’s my age, and that’s way too young.
A shame. I think I’ve seen only two of the Fast and the Furious films containing Walker – I saw Tokyo Drift too – and while he clearly wasn’t going to win any acting awards, those were fun to watch and you could tell he was having a good time.
RIP, Paul.
Yes, apparently according to HSHP below he was even trying to do a good thing. :\
What is the hshp and where is it below?
Happy Scrappy Hero Pup.
Above dammit.
