PayPal EULA change--opt out of binding arbitration?

Just got a message from PayPal which includes changes to the requirement for binding arbitration–a change that I can opt out of, solely by physically writing and mailing a letter.

Not sure if I’ll bother.

Thoughts?

I wonder WHY its legal for PayPal to make me opt out in writing when I only have an online relationship with them.

ETA , I wont bother to be opting out. Its the process that is annoying.

Speaking as just one of the thousands and thousands of people who have had their funds locked up by PayPal for 6 months minimum for absolutely no reason, I can say with certainty that you’ve got worse things to worry about than some arbitration clause.

If it’s that simple, I’ll do it out of principle. All it does is increase the amount of harm they can do without any consequences. I don’t think I can express how outraged I am that this is allowed.

If they fuck me over, you think I’m ever going to have enough money to sue? Yeah, right.
