Definetely a legal question, but I’m sure someone can take a shot at it. I worked for a midwest home improvement store for the past three years and all had been fine. When i transferred to a store near school my pay rate was decreased due to my change in region. When I trasferred back they payed me my first week back under my lower pay rate. I have to have a right to back-pay because this was their slip-up, but are there any regulations/rules mandating how this would work? The store is based in Wisconsin and the stores I worked at were both in Illinois if that info is needed. If you need any more info, just ask! Thanks in advance.
was it your first check back, or for your first full week of work back? if your pay period is delayed a week, that might be the reason.
but i’m sure you’ve looked at that already
Yeah, I made sure it was the first week back…the store has a 3-week hold.
