PC games that people still play online

I prefer DOD:Source. I don’t think the changes affect it that much, and what they do do is balance things out pretty well. Certainly, it’s not like the original DOD, but then 1.3 DOD is nothing like it either.

Also, the new detonation maps are really quite fun.

I think TFC will finally die when both TF2 (which is now looking more like a stylized remake of TFC rather than the military sim it once was billed as) and Fortress Forever (a more faithful TFC clone in Source) are released over the next few months.

Not PC, but I’m still happily rocking Halo 2 as one of those shudder players. I just finally got my own Xbox and have my own Xbox Live account. I was a level 1 all of a sudden. I dominated entire games by myself. Much much fun.

Quick story: this guy I play with, me, and 2 random tools against 4 others. Random tools are de-leveling (which includes committing suicide to ensure they lose and move down in rank so they can beat up on newbies. Well, the guy I came in with quit out. I stuck around and got caught up in one of the two tools’ attempts to kill themselves, which gave me the option to boot them from the game, which I did. Evidence of my greatness heah. So, yeah. I’m a dork. Love me.

I think Half-life,** Diablo II** or Starcraft are gonna be your oldest games with regular online players. Man, 1998 was a time for games. Can you believe that all three of these games were created that year?

Offline, don’t forget Pokemon, Metal Gear Solid and Ocarina of Time. The mind boggles.

I occasionally play Quake II: Chaos. I love the anti-gravity belt, happy face grenades, drunk bombs, and exploding arrows. Although, the number of servers out there with the Chaos mod have dwindled; I think the last time I was looking for a game there were, oh, maybe three or four I could find, but with no one else signed in.
