Do any dopers out there know of any good rpg/action games for a PC that resemble Shenmue or Silent Hill 2? Lately, i’ve developed a fondness for these sort of games, and I’d like to play them on my computer. So what are some of your suggestions?
I’ve never played it but Amnesia might interest you. It’s an old game, released by Electronic Arts in '86. Sorry I can’t post a link to it because of copyright concerns but you should be able to find it on an underdog of an abandonware site. (hint hint)
Thought of two more old games, Moebius and its sequel Windwalker. If you can find Amnesia, you should be able to find these also. Last time I played Moebius was on an XT, that’s how old it is! It has the RPG/combat angle you’re after, but the combat is easy once you get used to it. Especially when you’re up against a monk, just alternate high and low kicks. Combat was supposedly improved in the sequel.
Thanks for the replies Jeff. I’ll definitly look into those games when I get out of class. I don’t think the prof would appreciate me playing games while he’s trying to teach 
but then again…he doesn’t notice me on the SDMB
