I spent a good half hour making myself a fruit salad, earlier this evening. Contents: peaches, apples, and grapes. I don’t usually burp. Peaches make me burp. It’s a nice, soft burp, too. Always. And usually only when I eat peaches with chopsticks. Just thought I’d share my oddity… does anyone else encounter the same sort of thing?
I will usually hiccup within seconds of taking the first sip of a soda. Not always, but at least 75% of the time. I have never figured that one out.
About 8 -12 hours after I eat something…, I crap. Go figure.
And, habenero peppers make me sneeze.
Y’know, something similarly odd happens to me when I eat peppers or other spicy food.
No, not sneezing; the crapping part.
I had that same problem myself today. Do you think its catching? Should I see a doctor?
I sneeze in the shower… I mean like 6-8 times too. I wonder if I am allergic to water. I keep wondering about it, esp since I take at least one shower a day. oh well…
“grace”
Lettuce makes me burp
Stranglers?
Electroclash?
Sorry, carry on…
Asparagus makes my pee smell funny…
Eating soft pretzels ALWAYS gives me the hiccoughs. Just thinking about them now, I’ve started hiccoughing-may as well go get one.
After every single meal for at least the past 30 years, I’ve gotten what I call my post-prandial hiccups – anywhere from one to four strong hiccups. That’s all, never more than four. Is it my diaphragm readjusting itself to the heavier weight of my stomach? I don’t know, it’s just weird, but I’ve long since accepted it. There are worse after-dinner habits…
I made a peach pie once. It was okay, but I decided not to do it again. Peaches are the perfect fruit; they don’t need to be glammed up. Take a freestone peach, slice it and eat it with a fork. Food of the gods.
Cling peaches, on the other hand, are the work of Satan himself - you bite into the fruit, expecting nothing more than a mouthfull of juicy, aromatic fruitiness, but what do you get? Abraded gums, messy hands and fibres jammed between your teeth.
peaches from a can are the best convienience food ever. Just open the can grab a fork and chow down, man i wish i had some peaches. mmm peaches
I can’t believe no one posted this:
“Millions of peaches, peaches for me,
Millions of peaches, peaches for free”
Damn. I was just about to. And now it will be running through my brain all day…
My husband hiccups after eating spicy peppers, usually jalapenos.
Spices make my tongue hot.
This is a damn gross thread, btw.
