Peacock's launch will be worse than HBO Max's

It’s also not available to download onto my Smart Samsung TV. I actually was interested in the Law & Order back catalogue, guess I won’t be a customer either.

It seems, though I could be wrong, that one is required to use their hardware if you want it. As stated above, it came free for us Xfinity/Comcast customers. I have no idea how one would go about ordering the thingie … I’m sure NBC . com would be happy to fill people in.

That’s not true. You can use it on Apple TV, Android TV, and Chromecast. Roku and Amazon are playing hardball against HBO Max and Peacock so those aren’t available there, but they are on other streaming devices.

I had no problem installing the app on a two year old LG television, but I can’t seem to get closed captioning to work. According to the NBC Help (sic) Center:

On the NBC App: access to closed captioning controls varies by device, but in many cases you can find them in the device-level settings area.

Problem is, the television’s CC button doesn’t seem to work with streaming services. And without captioning, the service isn’t really useful to me.

I noticed Peacock added a series on old Grand National racetracks hosted by Dale Jr. I’ll have to see if watching via computer would be good for capturing IMCDb images.
