Pedestrians crossing street: how long do you wait?

I wait until the pedestrian is out of my side of the street, which is (not coincidentally) the law in my state.

It’s illegal here not to wait until they’re on the other side of the street or at least one lane over or something, but I usually just wait until they pass me anyway or I’d never get anywhere. Some people are soo slow.

not as slow as time might feel waiting for your trial, if you were to hitone of these people :rolleyes:

I wait until they’ve cleared my lane, and give them plenty of room and don’t go fast.

Option 2 unless it’s kids crossing in a school zone (I go through a couple every day) then I wait until all the kids are safely on the sidewalk.
