I see no reason why the Democrat collective should stop jumping on every opportunity to trash Trump. It’s what they know, love, and do best. Look how well they used this tactic to insure Hillary’s election.
Every false story dilutes the effect of any true story but “they” just can’t stop themselves. People/voters grow tired of all the whining. How will the people/voters respond to this constant barrage of fake/false/phony “news” stories in the future? The all-inclusive-party-who-will-attack-anyone-including-other-Democrats-if-they-choose-to-question-their-candidates-goodness has been steadily losing ground for eight years.
*“I bet it’s brand new information to people that President Obama had a six-month ban on the Iraqi refugee program after two Iraqis came here to this country, were radicalized and they were the masterminds behind the Bowling Green massacre,” Conway told MSNBC’s Chris Matthews. “Most people don’t know that because it didn’t get covered.”
*
Yep, they would never do that.
So where was Obama born, Hawaii or Kenya?
Was Ted Cruz’s father involved in the JFK assassination?
Did thousands of people cheer in New Jersey during 9/11?
Was Donald Trump against the Iraq War?
Is the unemployment rate 42%?
Is America the highest taxed country in the world?
Is global warming a hoax invented by the Chinese?
Did Donald Trump claim that global warming was a hoax invented by the Chinese?
But I guess Hillary lied about Benghazi, and Bill lied about getting a blowjob, so all this doesn’t matter.
I’d be on board if this was just pitting the hoaxers. But this thread creates a narrative that there is some concentrated attempt at making lies about Trump.
In short, this thread creates the same problem lying does. It makes it easy to believe that mere mistakes are actually lies, which then makes it easier to believe that the truth is a lie.
People make hoaxes. Some are stupid. Some have their own problems, and just don’t think about the implications. And I’d guess the majority are false flag operations. They know that creating hoaxes about Trump does the above.
Hahahaha. It appears that you’ve made a mistake. Just as Kellyanne Conway made a mistake when she said “massacre” when she meant to say “terrorists”. I wonder which standard will be apply to your mistake? More flogging of the dead horse, or more sour grapes whining?
However, early Friday Conway said she misspoke when she used the phrase “Bowling Green massacre.” Really, she said in a tweet that links to an ABC News article, she meant say “Bowling Green terrorists.”
Personally, I believe that both you and Conway simply made a mistake.
A couple of things Doorhinge: I noticed that she made her “mistake” on national TV, but her correction on Twitter. Also, didn’t she mercilessly criticize a journalist for making a mistake that he apologized for? And finally, and I can’t believe I have to point this out to you: a representative of the nation’s president speaking on policy issues on tv should be held to a higher standard than a guy on a message board. The fact that you literally can’t seem to make that distinction is very telling.
For Christ’s sake, why? I agree with you that he doesn’t need the help, but as far as making the opposition look like drama queens, eight years (plus) of drama-queening hasn’t hurt the Republicans much, has it? No, they got themselves a President out of it!
Basically, yeah. Maybe if we lean into this “post-truth” thing really hard, Americans will get nostalgiac for actual truth and things might start to get back to normal. Until then, give me one good reason anybody should stop making shit up about anything!
Fake news is fake news. Wouldn’t it be great if there were some organizations that we the people could count on to provide us with all of the facts, and only the facts. You know, something like the main stream media outlets we have now, but truthful, honest, and unbiased. Fake news can only exist in a society that allows it’s media to help spread fake news instead of providing accurate, and honest reporting.
Billy was impeached for lying under oath, AND he lost his law license. That doesn’t seem to matter to the Hillary supporters. Or maybe they don’t want to remember it.
*On April 12, 1999, Wright found Clinton in contempt of court for “intentionally false” testimony in Jones v. Clinton, fined him $90,000, and referred the case to the Arkansas Supreme Court’s Committee on Professional Conduct, as Clinton still possessed a law license in Arkansas.
The Arkansas Supreme Court suspended Clinton’s Arkansas law license in April 2000. On January 19, 2001, Clinton agreed to a five-year suspension and a $25,000 fine in order to avoid disbarment and to end the investigation of Independent Counsel Robert Ray (Starr’s successor). On October 1, 2001, Clinton’s U.S. Supreme Court law license was suspended, with 40 days to contest his disbarment. On November 9, 2001, the last day for Clinton to contest the disbarment, he opted to resign from the Supreme Court Bar, surrendering his license, rather than facing penalties related to disbarment.*
The investigations into Hillary’s activities may, or may not, be over. Personally, I don’t believe the U.S. Congress is thru with her yet.
