People need to stop making stuff up to make Trump look bad

No matter what your particular political persuasion is, there will be somebody on “your side” you wish was on the other, or at least siddown and shuddup.

Does it really matter? “Bigly” or “big league” are equally mockable the way he uses it.

Yes. But unfortunately most of the current rank and file Republicans and the ones in power elected him and his cabinet to rule all of us. Democrats are more willing to tell their fringe more than just to sit down and shuddup.

Reporting fake news is protected under the 1st Amendment of the Constitution …

Well, give you a doggie biscuit! You have successfully refuted the claim that Bill Clinton never lied. Too bad nobody ever made that claim. (And with Gore, Kerry, Obama, Sanders and Hillary all nationally prominent more recently than Bill, it is rather pathetic that you needed to go back almost two decades to come up with your big Gotcha.)

But while you’re on the topic, would you comment on Trump having the worst Pants-on-Fire rating at Politifact? About the fact that his political speeches are estimated to have roughly one lie every two minutes?

The Republioturds have made deception an art-form, and hardly tell the truth at all except by accident! One Republioturd just two heartbeats away from the Presidency paid millions in blackmail to maintain the lie that he’d never raped boys! But if you can locate one Democratic lie it means “both sides do it; nanner nanner nanner”?

Ha.

PBS is pretty good. Reuters and some of the other foreign news services are good. VOA was surprisingly objective for a while, but of course that was destroyed by a January edict.

But I do agree with you about main-stream media like CNN, WSJ, CBS, etc. They are much too eager to swallow right-wing lies.

And by “pizza” you mean “a ten-year-old to fuck,” right? This new language has me all confused.

I try to stick with CSPN and NPR. There is a lot of yellow journalism right now. News outlets are desperate for viewership and competition from twitter journalists are making the cost of quality journalism harder to justify.

William Jefferson “Bill” Clinton lied under oath. That’s an important distinction. That is why he was impeached, and that is why he lost his law license.

Fake news is fake news. It’s my position that news media outlets need to do a much, much, much better job of reporting the news. What we the people need are organizations that can actually verify the questionable/fake news stories that are being circulated via the internet, news producing TV shows, talk radio hype, pundits, spin doctors, etc…

I consider your bizarre statement that I don’t care about Bill, or Trump, lying to be opinionated horse poop. But you’re entitled to your opinionated horse poop. Just as I can chose not to believe your statement.

There is no constitutional objection to the proper, and thorough, vetting of fake news stories. Vetting only requires a will to do so.

I’m still waiting for your parents to acknowledge their mistake.

The problem is that most of us think you’re talking about Pulitzer-prize winning newspapers, but you’re actually thinking that we should all listen to Sean Spicer more. Well, maybe not listen to him, because that would involve remembering things that he says for later dates… maybe you mean, looking at what is in his heart instead of what he says?

I’ve always enjoyed your syphilitic ramblings. It’s my position that the news media outlets should be doing a much, much better job of reporting the news. I expect to see the Who, What, Where, Why, and When of every story that the news media produces. You may find such facts to be a hindrance. It certainly seems as if the Democrat Party leaders do.

If the main stream media did a proper job of vetting the news stories they chose to produce, fake news would limited to the Facebook-types, and DNC/MSNBC.

Man, I wish someday to be as perfect as you and your side – right wing talk radio is such a font for truth and fact, and never distorts or spreads “fake news” like the left does. It’s not like someone can be liberal and honest, right? “Liberal” and “journalist” are oxymorons. Only conservatives can tell the truth.

This is a woefully incomplete thought. Are you saying Fox News is vetting their stories and has no fake news? What about Rush, Alex Jones?

for historical reference only -

I’m familiar with iiandyiiii’s inability to read what I actually wrote and respond with anything resembling the truth, but your post seems to indicate that you simply can’t understand a complete thought. It’s my position that the news media outlets should be doing a much, much better job of reporting the news. I expect to see the Who, What, Where, Why, and When of every story that the news media produces.

Oh wow! So I was wrong? Do you believe that right wing radio regularly spreads fake news?

OK doorhinge, let’s take a look at a typical news media outlet story.

Retired general says Trump’s defense of Putin is ‘the most anti-American statement ever made’ by a president

Who: Donald Trump, Barry McCaffrey
What: McCaffrey objects to Trump’s defense of Vladimir Putin
Where: An interview with Bill O’Reilly of FOX News
Why: “To confuse American values with Putin, who’s running a criminal oligarchy, who kills people abroad and at home, who imprisons journalists and takes away business property, who shares it with his former KGB agents, who invades and seizes Crimea and eastern Ukraine — this is an astonishing state of affairs.” He apparently doesn’t approve of Trump’s statements.
When: As of this posting, 20 hours ago

Of course, that’s from a conservative news source, and they’re renowned for their non-bias and accuracy, so maybe that’s not who you’re complaining about.

Let’s try The Hill. Not really sure if they’re considered a liberal news source, but they list a sponsored link about the Latino Economy, and their video link is from MSNBC, so let’s say they lean a little bit liberal.

Retired general: Trump’s Putin remarks may be ‘most anti-American statement’ ever by president

Who: Donald Trump, Barry McCaffrey
What: McCaffrey objects to Trump’s defense of Vladimir Putin
Where: An interview with Bill O’Reilly of FOX News
Why: “I’m actually incredulous that the president would make a statement like that,” McCaffrey told MSNBC. “One could argue that’s the most anti-American statement ever made by the president of the United States. To confuse American values with Putin, who is running a criminal oligarchy.” Not exactly the same quote as the above, but the gist is the same.
When: Yesterday

So, what problem do you have again?

Comprehension, mainly.

Problem? Singular?

It’s not complete because you are leaving your opinions about Fox, Rush, Breitbart, and Jones out of it, where it looks to most sensible people as if they are exploiting the hell out of misinformation for their own gain and it looks like it has had a cancerous effect on the recent election, among other related issues. Don’t want to talk about it? OK then go back to a hole in the ground and keep repeating your mantras about liberals. But don’t give us that BS about “We all need to do better.”

The reason anyone would ask your position on Fox et al is that you are a conservative poster. I assume you style yourself as an “intelligent” poster or something like that. But it is of no moment and completely banal to say “all news outlets should be better” and it’s not worth an intelligent moments thought. The actual issue in the country is: How fake is your news? And Why? There is no equivalency among all outlets.

Don’t want to think about it? I understand, but this is what we got and there is but this to do.

It was complete. You can’t accept that. I can.

You can demand that the news media outlets do a better job of reporting the truth, and nothing but the truth. Or not.

You can demand that the news media outlets supply the Who, What, Where, Why, and When of every story they produce. Or not.

You could even advocate for the necessity of piss-poor journalism and fake news, if you so chose. I believe the news outlets can do a better job than they’ve been doing.
