People need to stop making stuff up to make Trump look bad

I stand with you against fake news and bad journalism, whatever the source, which is not confined to one ideology, source, or media type.

What media outlets do you trust then?

Typical. I try to get the ideologues to examine the veracity of their own statements and I get ignored. Don’t even get called nasty names. doorhinge doesn’t want to let actual thinking hinder his resolve.

Even if Trump actually said “big league”, I’ll still mock him for speaking at a 4th grade level. Not my fault Trump is inarticulate. He also probably reads at a 4th grade level.

I’ll just quote myself since you ignored it: The reason anyone would ask your position on Fox et al is that you are a conservative poster. I assume you style yourself as an “intelligent” poster or something like that. But it is of no moment and completely banal to say “all news outlets should be better” and it’s not worth an intelligent moments thought. The actual issue in the country is: How fake is your news? And Why? There is no equivalency among all outlets.

Don’t want to think about it? I understand, but this is what we got and there is but this to do.

This is the topic. What are you talking about? See no evil is not a response. These outlets tried to make trump look good by subterfuge and lying. The outlets who made him look bad were only reporting his words and deeds.

So are you advocating for piss poor news from the right only, or are you saying that the right wing media has gone insane and truth free, and led the country into the grubby paws of a conman.

However, to be fair, he moves his lips at a 6th grade level and looks at pictures at a 7th grade level.

She made the same “mistake” multiple times, iirc.

“…she cited the same nonexistent attack in separate interviews with two other outlets — Cosmopolitan magazine and TMZ.”
Conway explained to Cosmo on Jan. 29: “He did that because two Iraqi nationals came to this country, joined ISIS, traveled back to the Middle East to get trained and refine their terrorism skills and come back here, and were the masterminds behind the Bowling Green massacre of taking innocent soldiers’ lives away.”

when interviewed by TMZ that same day, as the Daily Beast pointed out Monday afternoon.
“He did that because, I assume, there were two Iraqis who came here, got radicalized, joined ISIS, and then were the masterminds behind the Bowling Green attack on our brave soldiers,” she said.
Not really directed at you—I suspect yu don’t care—but this is for folks who wander by over the years.

Slightly more interesting, like pathology is interesting. Soldiers? Huh?

None of them. They all want to be the first to report a story, regardless of the facts. Being accurate is 2nd. Most of the time.

I’ve imposed a personal 48 hour moratorium on accepting any information from the news media outlets ON ANY MAJOR STORY. Eventually, most of the facts will be reported, and I miss all of the sturm und drang that’s meant to sell advertising.
It’s my position that the news media outlets should be doing a much, much better job of reporting the news. “THAT” is my position. The Democrat collective is having difficulty understanding this simple statement. They seem to see what they want to see. Which is not my problem.

Interesting philosophy.

Downside is that I can spoil the superbowl for you, Patriots won.

You should be finding this out from your 48 hour delay in a few hours now.

The difficulty is in comprehending why you think this platitude is a satisfactory answer to any question, let alone every question asked of you.

For those unfamiliar, doorhinge believes the definition of debate is “repeating the same sentence over and over.” He demonstrates what a psychologist might call “looping thoughts,” a term that is perhaps a bit too charitable here.

Is that considered a MAJOR STORY?

Even the LSM can’t screw up a story that the viewers can see for themselves.

You know who needs to stop making stuff up that makes Trump look bad? Kellyanne Conway. Clean it up at home first, Republicans. And while you’re at it, say a prayer for our dear, brave soldiers who were targeted in Bowling Green. Such a massacree, believe me, I had to pay $50 and pick up the garbage.

If things were different, things would be different. Assholes like yourself are repeatedly asking me to defend positions that I do not hold. Eventually, maybe, it’s going to occur to you that I actually meant to say what I actually said. Well, not you, but I have high hopes for the rest.

To quite a number of people yes.

Ah, and now you have hit the point.

Okay, so what types of information do you feel you can see for yourself, rather than needing journalists to investigate and collate the data for you?

We’ll start with inauguration crowd size, as that was the first controversy that Trump decided to embroil himself in.

Could we see for ourselves which crowd was bigger, just as you could see for yourself which team had more points, or should we depend on Trump and co for their input into crowd size before we determine the things we can see for ourselves?

It’s amusing that you think that…

I actually think we are getting to the very nut of the matter: You can’t get yourself to admit to the mendacity of some individual news outlets. It’s like the point in the Thing where they torture the little puddle with electricity and it responds. You can’t really hide the intellectual dishonesty. The topic here is media treatment of donnie and you are stopped dead in your tracks from continuing to participate because you need to be in your hole and muttering about LSM or democrat collective.

For someone who claims to be so cautious about information you sure have a lot of tics having to do with impacted and encrusted prejudices.

Let it go. Be a good intellectual. Distinguish between news outlets, and talk about fox, or admit you have no interest in this topic except to sit in your stew pot and make contradictory commands on reality.

How does one put a 48 hour moratorium on news? Do you actually avoid watching the news and refuse to look at the newspaper and the web? 2 days later, you still have to contend with the brand new news while looking for the 48-hour old news that hasn’t been tainted by hyperbole. Talk about seeing only what you want to see.

Are you ever going to respond to my analysis? I’m really trying to understand how you think the news is insufficiently reported when we live in the internet/twitter/smartphone era where EVERYTHING is revealed.

Everything except Donald Trump’s nefarious, suspicious tax return.

But at what level does he watch cable news?

He doesn’t attend his daily intelligence breifings, but gets his shit info from Fox and Breibart and Infowars!
