My best friend in high school insisted I looked like a Roberta. However, this is also a fellow with the perfectly lovely name of Adam, which suited him, and he enjoyed being “renamed” by a friend as “Willie”. So, as best friends, we may have been Adam and Stasia to everyone around us, but secretly, we were Willie and Roberta.
From your descriptions, I think you associate the qualities with the names. I can sort of agree with you on “Jamie” but the other two you’re WAY off on. ‘Scott’, to me, is just about the opposite of stoic and mature. That name always conjures up a dark haired smiley teen, about to get into trouble. And I can’t even imagine a strawberry blond “Nathan.”
Fern Forest, I’d have said “Rick”. Definitely wouldn’t have guessed the true name in a million years.
Marley23, I’m going with “Septimus”. Kidding.
I know I’ve given my name out on the boards before, but not frequently, so I’m going to see what you folks have to say about it. I don’t think I look like my name; I don’t think anybody really looks like my name, but least of all the folks it most often belongs to. That’s all right, though, I like it anyway.
I don’t know if I look like a “Meena” or not as I haven’t seen too many Meenas (one’s a cousin and two actresses), but the weirdest thing is, the biggest case of mistaken identity I get is being called Judy. WTH?? I do *not * look like a Judy.
I can. He’s a college freshman, in the south or the midwest, stocky, working on a vandyke, wears Skechers year-round and really long shorts in the summer, and goes to a megachurch, where he plays in the praise band.
Misnomer, you’re a Jenny, but you’re also a Leah.
**Antigen/b] is more of a Jennifer. Classic Jennifer. Diosa reminds me of a Laurel. Sausage: Janine. TMINC: Sandy. Marley: Marc with a c.
I’ve usually got rainbow hair of some sort. If you look closely, you can see the washed-out blue streaks. Lynn is such a boring name, no offense to any other Lynns. Maybe I make up for my boring name with an effervescent personality!
OK, I’ll play. For the record, I apparently look like Stephanie, Kathy, Kate, and one person even told me I looked like an Amanda, which happens to be my middle name.
