Maybe veering slightly off topic, but I hang out on a baseball blog where if you don’t use proper capitalization and punctuation they will get all over your case. They are also pretty rigid on grammar and having proper paragraphs.
If I am on an informal board, I like to type in all lower case mainly because it is faster.

No, she admits to doing it on purpose, then whines about people “acting like my 5th grade teacher” when they tell her how annoying/hard to read/incorrect it is. And…she keeps doing it.
I do the same thing but I regard it as part of my distinctive Style of Writing, if that makes sense.
You see a lot of it in old Victorian (and earlier) Writings- books, posters, pamphlets, and so forth; it’s always stuck me as a handy way to draw attention to Important Things within whatever you’re typing.
I have to say that Capitalising Every Word In A Sentence really doesn’t bother me that much, though. I’ve only got so many accusations of “Communism!” and “Kitten Hating!” to bandy about these days and excessive Capitalisation just isn’t on the accusation shortlist for me, I’m afraid.
Tell her you wouldn’t have to do it if she had listened to her fifth grade teacher.
Perhaps that’s the last grade she attended, and she dropped out because she was 18 now and didn’t want to be told what to do?
