People who don't clean up their doggie poop

I have a side-bag that I take with me, and among other things* in it, is a tupperware-type cannister (suitably marked in indelible marker) for stashing loaded poo-bags. Keeps things nice and neat (and smell-free) until I can get to a suitible place for disposal.

I don’t care who you are, that was funny!

*Also: Spare roll of poo-bags, water bottle, small water dish, training treats, breed literature (the big dog attracts a LOT of attention), a long-lead, and anything else that occurs to me. It’s a fairly sizable bag.

Jackmanii, I have one of these Flexi leash bags on my dog’s main extensible leash.

It’s only six bucks and it adjusts with velcro to fit any of those extensible leashes. It has two zippered pouches, where I stash the full bags, and two mesh exterior pockets. It’s big enough to also carry your car keys and wallet without “contaminating” them.

I also use one of those Bags on Board dog-bone-shaped bag holders, to hold the roll of bags, but this pouch is big enough that I could skip the Bags on Board thing and just put the rolls in the pouch itself. I still use it, though, because I paid for it.

Speaking as a dog owner who picks up after his own dog, and picks up after other dogs whenever I find it, I think a brick dropped on or thrown at (whichever is gravitationally most convenient) the owner’s head is a suitable punishment. Make sure you don’t do anything bad to the dog - it’s not his/her fault the owner is an asshole.

So you acknowledge there are nice dogs that present no problem and walk next to their masters calmly, but they have to be leashed too?

You want them on the leash just so that it makes your mental picture of rule conformance complete?

Actually, the rule WASN’T written with them in mind.

Yeah, pretty much.

I have no doubt that Jeff Gordon or somebody could drive perfectly safely on the interstate at 120mph. It doesn’t matter. He still has to obey posted speed limits.

Cliffy! I’ve been wondering what you’ve been up to since Cheers ended.
mmm

There is a guy in my neighborhood who rides a bicycle with his big brown dog following him on a long leash. His dog actually poops as it runs along. It leaves nuggets on the sidewalk at about 10 MPH.

I disagree. The other owners had to be TOLD not to do it. Do people really need to be told to pick up their dog’s poop? And they didn’t necessarily start picking up the poop, they just went to a new location.

Part 2 of this is that while the dogs aren’t busy crapping they’re barking all the time. the same owners who don’t pick up after their dog will also do nothing to abate the noise.

And how it relates to folks who don’t like seeing someone’s dog off leash and running wild.

You don’t know if its Jeff Gordon coming at you or Ernest T.

There is no environmental argument for picking up dog poop. It does degrade and fade after awhile. But a plastic bag will save it for 2000 years with a poop in it.
In my park there are cops on horses doing enforcement. On a narrow path I walk on, his horse left a 20 pound poop in the middle of it.

I hope you’re not defending the poo-leavers with that rationale.

And if you’re not, what exactly is your point?
mmm

Absolute you have an absolute twist of logic!

(Simply put, dog-haters are psychopaths who are incapable of maintaining relationships of any kind and resent that the loving bond between a dog and its owner brings them more happiness.

People do not want to have a bio-waste in front of their windows or where they live) , period. Nobody wants to smell urine and feces, period. It is anti-sanitary, biological waste that can bring on diseases and infect other pets. Would you like humans to relive themselves right by where you live? Do you want to smell that? So, the hatred of dogs have absolutely nothing to do with the subject. Psychopath are those who assume that the streets are toilet for the animals and they pollute already dirty streets making them more Biological hazard zone! So, who is the psychopath now?

( dog-hater will experience over his entire bitter, twisted, miserable life.)
Now, define for me a dog-hater? Just because I want to live in a relatively BIO_waste free place , where I should be able to open my windows to get some fresh air into my apartment without smelling urine and feces, does not make me a dog hater. I have also pets at home and I do not want them to get sick from smelling urine/feces from the dog who might be carrying (i.e dog flu, possible a rabies + or distemper positive carrier), and it is all get transmitted airborne through the body fluids. I don’t want to live in a toilet. Perhaps, you have miserable life. Some of us have cats and other pets. We are perfectly happy with our pets. We keep our places CLEAN and are making sure that our neighbors do not suffer from the smells that YOU SHOULD control being a pet owner. If you don’t know how then you should be having a dog in the first place.

You have a loving bond between your dog. That’s great, but please don’t make other people suffer because you have created toilet for your dog where OTHER people live. it is extremely inconsiderate, selfish and nasty! If you would a considerate person, you would walk your dog AWAY from the buildings. So, at least the excrement would not be right on the pavement , couple of inches from the first floor windows, balconies and the places where people live. Our cities are dirty as they are, the last thing we need is body fluids all over the streets. That’s how disease spreads.
Actually, my generalization is probably correct. But yours isn’t.

This certainly does seem to be your pet issue.

Why do you keep resurrecting 4 year old dog poop threads?

It is your issue because you have to do this-- whenn your dog pooes an pees , get it in your home and smell it. I don’t want to smell it, get it? When you smell the poo and urine of your dog in your place near your place, then tell me how you will loved?! Some people.

Then I want to ask you this, why do you go back to that thread?
I go because I am sick and tired of this problem. You should be all fined $200 for stinking up city like that then we won’t see a problem like tht anymore, period.

Raven Thief, you seem to be unable to comprehend anything you read. Why don’t you do this-- It is your issue!!! when your dog pooes an pees , get it in your home and smell it. I don’t want to smell it, get it? When you smell the poo and urine of your dog in your place near your place, then tell me how you will loved?! No, you won’t love it because you take your dog miles way from the place you live. You want your place to be clean. Let the other smell the toilet , right? So, you are the source of the problem.

Is there a Gibberish to English translation app I can run that through?

oooookkkkaayyy. FTR I do clean up after my dogs. I am not the source of whatever problem it is that you have. I love how you assume that everyone on this message board is CLEARLY leaving dogshit everywhere they go. My reading comprehension is fine too - though I do have a bit of an issue comprehending you. “Then tell me how you will loved?”

Gotta love the dogshit zombies though.
