Why is the kids-no-kids such a hot-button topic here?
You either have/like kids or don’t.
You either want to be around them/enjoy them or don’t.
Why does this send everybody into such throes of anger or ecstasy or whatever?
Seriously, I am not being silly here. If you are somewhere and kids are annoying you, you need to realize that when you go out in public, people are gonna do stuff you don’t like. If you don’t like kids, try and make an effort to go where kids are not.
If you are somewhere where being bugged by kids can’t be avoided, realize that kids are by nature annoying (especially to the childless by choice) and put up with it as long as you have to and realize that it is not the worst thing in the world you have to deal with.
I am a person without kids, who does not want kids, and even I have figured this out.
I am fine with most of your post, but I have to put some of the responsibility on parents. Don’t bring your children to work with you. They are not cute when they are bored, and they will be after 5 minutes unless you work at Disney or something. If I am your co-worker, I can’t get work done because your kids are distracting me or you are with having to call your children down every two minutes. If I am the customer and you have to leave me to go take care of your kids, I get bored and become distracting. And I really don’t hate kids. I hope to have some someday. I will also have a babysitter when I cannot have children with me.
