No, that wasn’t uncalled for. These boards have rules and two of the prime ones are “Fight ignorance, don’t promote it” and “Don’t be a Jerk.”. You broke them both. Your post was demonstrably ignorant and disseminating patently false information. You dared to say that starving people in Malaysia “destroy rain forests without any care about what is going to happen to the animals that live there. Then they kill those animals uselessly”. Grow the fuck up and stop being a jerk. These people are desparate for land and food and the necessaities of life, of course they don’t give a fuck about the animals except as lunch, you wouldn’t either. What’s not to like about the rainforest? How fucking ignorant are you? There’s no grass layer so grazing animals is out. There no sunlight reaching the floor, so cropping is impossible. It’s a harbour for pests, predators, disease and posionous animals and plants. The humidity is perpetually above 60% and nothing ever dries. It’s a nice place to visit but no-one actually lives there. Even the hippies build in huge clearings so they can see the sun occasionally.
And yes, you were a hippy and you did spew crap in the '70s, and the '60’s and the '40’s. I know that besause people like you have always existed. You have no solutions but are content to spread disinformation to get a feeling of importance or justify your laziness.
