Through complicated machinations, Streeter and an accomplice get Amir to go to a college basketball game, where Amir is picked at halftime to make a blindfolded half-court shot for $500,000. While Amir off court signing the paperwork for the contest, Streeter (who Amir does not know is there) implored the audience to cheer as loudly as possible no matter the outcome. Amir lobs his air-ball and, sure enough, the crowd goes wild. Amir whips off his blindfold and celebrates enthusiastically.
A masked Streeter then comes running out with a Big Cardboard Check and presents it to him. Then takes his mask off and stands next to Amir for the photo-op. As soon as Amir looks to his side and sees Streeter standing there grinning, he has the greatest moment of realization ever caught on video, and the jig is up.
And the turtle was totally in on it.

The basketball team mascot. It’s not a clue really, as everyone in the stadium apart from Amir was in on it too.
I shouldn’t have watched them in the office as I kept snorting. The standup bit was the worst for me.
Streeter wasn’t wearing a mask, he just came running onto the court with the jumbo-sized $500,000 check covering his face and Amir, blinded by joy, just took the check and didn’t really get a look at who was giving it to him. It wasn’t until Streeter put his arm around Amir moments later and posed for the cameras that Amir looked over.
No actor is good enough to fake Amir’s reaction the instant he saw Streeter.
I’m honestly surprised that murder has not been committed yet.

The fake proposal–that one may have gone a bit far. Although if I was that girl, and found out it was a prank, I’d still think it was hilarious. Unless I really wanted to marry the guy, which is hard to visualize.
