Periodontics laser treatment. Need impartial advice.

OK …I have gum problems.

My regular dentist has referred me to a periodontist. He likes to do the newer laser treatment. Many advantages to it he says. It is a more expensive procedure than the old oral surgery type.

Trying to google impartial material about this and not having any luck. The sites either give very sparse info about the procedure or is a periodontist site raving about it.

If anyone knows about this procedure or has had it done, please tell me what you know.

Or give me a few good impartial sites I can google.

Why not try searching Google Scholar for the scientific literature on its effectiveness? That is where I would start.
